Description

A soft addition creating a zen environment within your room, our Jute String Floor Lamp creates a gorgeous, bohemia style. The natural finish has a light, organic appearance, made up of sustainable jute for a stylish yet conscious accent lighting touch. The warm light within gently radiates a soothing energy – making it ideal for styling in your living room or perhaps by a reading corner for a peaceful cosy corner.

Our Stylist Says

I love this jute string floor lamp for its natural and relaxed aesthetic, which adds warmth and texture to various interiors. It works particularly well in boho, coastal, or Scandinavian schemes where organic materials and understated tones are key. The open-weave design allows light to softly diffuse, creating a cosy atmosphere that’s ideal in living spaces, bedrooms, or even hallways. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral-toned furniture or layered textiles to enhance its natural charm. It’s also versatile enough to serve as a statement piece in minimalist settings, providing an interesting visual element without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
