I’m a big fan of this green velvet dining chair for its deep, stylish hue and comfortable, quilted seat. It works particularly well in contemporary or mid-century schemes, and can add a luxe touch to a simple oak or marble-top table without overwhelming the room. For styling, balance the richness of the velvet with matt black or brass accents - think a slim-legged sideboard or table lamp. Keep textiles light and neutral (linen napkins, a jute runner) to let the chair’s colour stand out, or introduce a few terracotta pots and muted cushions for a layered, lived-in feel.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
