An original portrait created using oil stick, oil colour and wax on canvas. Based in Daphne, Alabama, Austrian artist Barbara Kuebel has shown her work extensively throughout Europe and the US. Inspired by 'awkward social interactions', she creates abstract expressionist figurative portraits rendered as life-sized woodworks that she carves by hand.
