Description

Wrap yourself in luxury with our Jumbo Cord Throw, featuring a plush velvet backing. Available in a variety of coastal-inspired colours from cobalt blue to cream, this 127x152cm throw is perfect for adding texture and warmth to your space with the jumbo cord pattern. Whether draped over your couch or bed, it's an inviting and stylish accessory, ideal for any living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this chunky green throw for its plush texture and versatile colour. It works particularly well in cosy, modern, or eclectic interiors where tactile comfort is key. Its Silt Green shade adds a soothing touch without overpowering a neutral colour palette, making it an easy layering piece on beds or sofa armchairs. To style it effectively, fold or drape it loosely for a relaxed look, or use it as a statement accent in minimalist settings by pairing it with other textured accessories. Practical tip: because of its thickness, it’s perfect for adding warmth and visual interest, especially in colder months.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
