I’m a fan of what I’ll call the Vienna chest for its neat, pared-back shape and the rich contrast between the oak carcass and the honed black marble top. It slips easily into Scandi, contemporary or mid-century-inspired schemes - in a hallway, living room or bedroom - and its two deep drawers hide everyday clutter. For styling, keep it simple: a low-profile lamp, a small ceramic vase or plant and a neat stack of books will pick up the chest’s graphic lines without overwhelming its clean profile.
