Description

Illuminate your space with the Joules Large Reactive Glaze Ceramic Table Lamp in Green and Pale Natural tones. The unique reactive glaze adds texture and visual interest, making each lamp a one-of-a-kind piece of art. With its distinct design and pale natural shade, this lamp becomes an artistic addition that enhances both your lighting and décor.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table lamp for its vibrant green glaze, which adds a lively yet sophisticated touch to any interior. The reactive glaze finish gives it a subtle, unique variation, making each piece feel special. It works particularly well in contemporary or mid-century inspired spaces, but can also add a pop of colour to more neutral schemes. For styling, place it on a side table or console in living rooms or bedrooms, pairing it with natural textiles or minimal accessories to let the lamp be a statement piece. Practical tips include choosing a warm-toned bulb to enhance the green hue and ensuring the shade height complements surrounding furniture for balanced lighting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
