Description

This handy laundry basket is made from durable fabric that holds its shape, even when empty, and comfortably fits a full load of washing inside. It features strong, woven handles, making it very easy to carry around the home or outside to the washing line, and best of all, when you're finished, it folds flat, making it easy to store in a narrow space, such as on top of or down the side of a washing machine. It's also moisture-resistant on the inside and easy to wipe clean, making it suitable for damp laundry too. Polyester frame. 100% polyester liner. Capacity 55 litres. Size H35, W52, D36cm. Fully assembled. Folds for storage. Manufacturer's 2 year guarantee.

Our Stylist Says

I love this laundry basket for its sleek, modern design and practicality. Its neutral grey fabric makes it a versatile piece that fits well in contemporary, scandi, or even rustic interiors. The collapsible feature is perfect for saving space when not in use, while the sturdy handles make it easy to transport laundry around the house. For styling purposes, I’d suggest placing it in a utility corner or laundry room where it can stay functional yet visually unobtrusive. To elevate its look, pair it with matching storage baskets or minimalist stainless steel accents for a cohesive, organised feel. It’s a smart addition for those who want laundry essentials to blend seamlessly into stylish, functional spaces.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
