Description

With distinctive mid-century detailing, the Joseph Armchair And Footsool collection might just be our most sumptuously comfortable armchair yet. Ideal for settling down with a good book, this wing chair comes with a matching rectangular scatter cushion while the footstool is ergonomically designed with a gentle slope.

Our Stylist Says

I love this footstool because of its versatile, understated style and comfortable proportions. The natural laundered linen gives it a soft, relaxed look, making it ideal for a variety of interiors-from cosy country cottages to contemporary urban spaces. It works particularly well paired with statement armchairs or as a relaxed seating option in a reading nook or living room. For styling tips, consider layering it with textured throws or placing it beside a plush sofa to add both comfort and visual interest. Its neutral tone also allows it to be easily accessorised with colourful cushions or placed across bold patterned rugs, helping it to adapt seamlessly to different colour schemes and interior styles.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
