It works particularly well as a standalone reading spot or paired with a low-profile sofa in a neutral palette. For styling, anchor it on a natural-fibre rug, add a slim brass floor lamp and a couple of patterned cushions in contrasting hues (mustard or soft pink work nicely) to balance the depth of the seat.
