Description

Created for us by Danish design duo Says Who, renowned for compelling details and expert woodworking, this media unit is built for your contemporary home. Taking its cues from Scandi-inspired design, it's made from solid and veneered oak with a soft-edge finish on the frame and robust y-shaped legs. We love the finish of oak and its unique patterns and grains which will add a natural warmth to your space. Inside each section is an organised interior with adjustable shelving, so there's plenty of room for all your media essentials. Maximum load 70 kgs for the top, 12 kgs for each shelf and base. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love how this media unit brings a touch of natural warmth to modern interiors thanks to its oak finish. It's versatile enough to work in both minimalist and Scandinavian-inspired spaces, as well as more eclectic or boho settings. For styling, I recommend keeping surfaces uncluttered with a few key decorative pieces like ceramics or greenery to highlight its timber grains. It also offers practical storage behind its sleek doors, perfect for keeping clutter out of sight. Pair it with a cosy rug and simple lighting to create a balanced, inviting vibe, whether in a living room or an open-plan space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
