Description

Our Vega range of garden furniture is a contemporary design made of hardy teak wood and robust zinc-coated steel frames, making the furniture durable and weather-resistant. A slatted design on a minimalist frame, this sturdy two-seater sofa is able to withstand a weight of 50 stone (320kg), exceeding the industry standard. The sofa comes with comfortable shower-resistant seat and backrest cushions. To extend the product life and appearance, it is recommended to use a garden furniture cover or store the furniture in a cool dry, well-ventilated place such as a garage or shed over winter or during periods of unseasonal weather. Ensure that the furniture is clean and completely dry before storing. Strong, durable and resistant to rot and decay, this furniture requires little maintenanceEucalyptusDistinctive scent and appearance which darkens as it ages. Provides similar natural benefits to teak including moisture resistance, hardness and durability. It's plentiful in supply which makes the furniture an inexpensive choice. AcaciaNaturally durable, this wood is incredibly hard and is unlikely to suffer damage during everyday use. It provides similar natural benefits to teak, yet unlike many other hardwoods, acacia is also relatively fast growing which minimises the environmental impact.

Our Stylist Says

I love this garden sofa for its sleek, modern design and versatile colour palette, making it a great choice for both contemporary and more traditional outdoor spaces. The natural wood detailing paired with the grey upholstery adds a sophisticated touch that pairs well with neutral palettes or bold accent colours. It works particularly well in minimalist or Scandi-inspired gardens, but can also be styled up with colourful cushions, throws, or outdoor rugs for a more inviting atmosphere. For practical styling, consider layering with weatherproof textiles and adding potted plants or lanterns to create a cosy, welcoming outdoor lounge area. Its compact size makes it perfect for smaller gardens or patios where maximise space without sacrificing style.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
