Description

Made in the UK, our Theale headboard has a simple design with curved edges and a seam detail across the top. It's a modern and well-padded attachment for your upholstered divan base and the sturdy wooden slats mean you can fit it easily at your desired height. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect is woven to create a linen-effect feel, and is available in a versatile palette of colours Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is woven with man-made fibres, making it exceptionally durable and versatile Our Band B fabric, Soft Touch Chenille has a velvet-style, chenille feel. It's woven with man-made fibres to create a beautifully soft yarn and can appear two-tone in different lights Our Band B fabric, Deep Velvet is soft and luxurious like velvet and available in a rich colour palette Our Band B fabric, Mole is a soft and cosy woven wool-blend. Piling and bobbling may occur naturally over time Our Band C fabric, Marylamb is woven from both man-made and natural fibres, creating a tactile and soft-touch feel. Our Band C fabric, Aquaclean Velvet will liven up your bedroom. It's plush, available in a range of bold colours and treated with Aquaclean so that it can be wiped clean with just water. A smart choice for families and those with pets Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture before ordering. Pop into one of our shops to see the full range of colours and fabrics on offer. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this headboard for its clean, modern silhouette and soft upholstery, which adds a touch of comfort and sophistication to a bedroom. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, but also pairs nicely with Scandi or mid-century styles due to its simple lines and neutral tone. Practical styling tips include pairing it with textured bedding or layered throws to add visual interest, and keeping the area around it uncluttered to highlight its sleek design. Its neutral finish makes it versatile enough to complement a range of colour palettes, from muted tones to bold accents, making it a flexible choice for various bedroom schemes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
