Description

Made to order in our UK factory, this bespoke duvet is designed to keep your feet warm at night thanks to a higher tog rating in its lower panels. It's filled with highly insulating Hungarian goose down and a small percentage of feathers, which creates a soft, luxurious and light duvet that drapes cosily around your body. Its Nomite™ mark means it's suitable for people with dust mite allergies. Warmth Without Weight Down has a naturally airy and open structure that traps heat, so it gives excellent insulation while being much lighter than feathers. This means you feel perfectly warm, without being weighed down. 3D Pocket Construction This duvet is sewn to create evenly divided square boxes. This means the down, feather or mixed filling is evenly distributed, so you enjoy warmth without cold spots. Life Natural The cover of this pillow/ duvet has a Life Natural finish. This is an innovative natural peppermint treatment that contains antimicrobial protection to keep it fresher and cleaner for longer. The peppermint treatment is completely odour-free. Responsibly sourced The feather and down used is certified to ensure high animal welfare and full traceability from farm to product. All of our natural bedding suppliers provide us with assurance that their feather and down is sourced only as a by-product. In addition, they're monitored to ensure they practice the highest standards of animal welfare. Products labelled with the DOWNPASS logo guarantee high quality and the certainty that down and feathers used as filling material are ethically sourced and come from tightly controlled and traceable supply chains. In addition, the quality of all products is monitored by independent testing institutes. Made by us at our textile factory in Lancashire Since 1953, our expert Partners have designed and manufactured a range of high-quality textiles at our UK factory, Herbert Parkinson. This includes our naturally filled bedding and Made to Measure 7-day service for curtains, blinds and cushions. Combining traditional handmade processes with state-of-the-art technology, our skilled Partners see each product through the entire creation process, ensuring it meets the design and quality standards we’re known for. We want you to be as proud of it as we are. Herbert Parkinson also offers a range of bespoke services, so if you can’t see exactly what you’re looking for or have specific requirements, do visit one of our shops and a Partner will be able to advise. About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
