Description

Help protect those heating bills by blocking out cold draughts from your front door. This single-panel door curtain has a thick thermal lining that protects the heat inside your room, whilst stopping any pesky draughts from creeping in. Made with a textured weave and in plain colours, there are plenty of options to choose from to suit your home styling. The width stated indicates the size of the curtain panel when laid completely flat. Worth knowing... We package our curtains in recycled materials to keep them protected whilst they make their way to you. This means that when they arrive there could be some creases in them. We recommend you hang them for a few days to allow them to flatten and for the creases to fall out. If after this period your curtains still show signs of being folded then follow the ironing instructions on the back of the packaging. Be aware that each style of curtain has different ironing instructions, including heat limitations according to the fabric, so do make sure you follow the guidance provided to get the best results. Do you need a curtain pole and accessories? Shop them here.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this curtain for its textured weave and recycled polyester fabric, which offers a nice balance of durability and eco-friendliness. The thermal lining makes it practical for insulation, helping to keep rooms warmer and reducing energy costs. Its eyelet design allows for easy hanging and a clean, modern look that works well in contemporary or minimalist interiors. I’d suggest pairing it with neutral walls and simple furnishings to let the texture stand out, or use it as a statement piece in a more layered, eclectic space. Practical styling tips include keeping the curtain-length slightly longer for a sleek, tailored look or pairing it with a matching cushion or rug for cohesiveness. It’s versatile enough to work in living rooms, bedrooms, or even a home office.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
