Description

Designed by Swoon, made by us. With a shared commitment to exceptional design and quality, we've collaborated to create an exclusive furniture collection for the modern home. Taking cues from our popular Franklin range, we've created outdoor furniture inspired by Franklin's distinctive, geometric design and Scandinavian Mid-century aesthetic. The rich tones of acacia wood bring a familiar natural warmth, with brass-finished accents and tall, tapering legs adding poise and elegance. Seating in this range comes with plump backrest and seat cushions, providing comfortable support. The cushions are shower-resistant but bring them inside during poor weather conditions and winter months. Key features: Weather-resistant FSC-certified acacia wood Geometric design and elegant tapered legs Shower-resistant plump seat and backrest cushions Team with our Franklin range of garden furniture By choosing this product you are supporting responsible management of the world's forests. The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a global, not-for-profit organisation that helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife that call them home. To learn more, visit fsc.org. Choose the perfect outdoor furniture We have a selection of wooden furniture for you to choose from which will suit the home or garden. Below are a few options to consider when choosing your perfect outdoor furniture. Teak A premium and popular wood with an attractive appearance which ages beautifully. Strong, durable and resistant to rot and decay, this furniture requires little maintenance Eucalyptus Distinctive scent and appearance which darkens as it ages. Provides similar natural benefits to teak including moisture resistance, hardness and durability. It's plentiful in supply which makes the furniture an inexpensive choice. Acacia Naturally durable, this wood is incredibly hard and is unlikely to suffer damage during everyday use. It provides similar natural benefits to teak, yet unlike many other hardwoods, acacia is also relatively fast growing which minimises the environmental impact. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the product in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this armchair for its timeless, clean lines and the beautiful FSC-accredited acacia wood that adds warmth and durability. It works well in a variety of settings, from a relaxed conservatory to a covered patio, and can also be styled indoors in conservatory spaces or open-plan living areas that blend indoors and out. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral or textured cushions to soften the natural wood and adding greenery nearby to enhance its organic feel. Its straightforward design makes it versatile enough to complement both contemporary and classic interiors, making it a go-to piece for creating a laid-back yet polished garden or indoor retreat.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
