Description

100% Egyptian cotton Our Soft & Silky sheets are woven from 100% Egyptian cotton to deliver beautifully soft and durable bedding. Celebrated for its strength and exceptionally long staple, we source the cotton used in this range from the Nile Delta. Here, a combination of rich soil and warm climate provides the perfect environment to grow some of the best quality cotton in the world. 800 threads per square inch Because of Egyptian cotton’s long staple, or fibre length, it can be woven for a higher thread count. In this case, you can enjoy an impressive 800 threads per square inch of your duvet cover and pillowcases. The yarns are twisted together before weaving to create our lavishly luxurious 800 thread count satin. Indulge in an exceptionally smooth feel and create a sumptuous sleep sanctuary for your best rest yet. Silky smooth Woven for a satin finish, the cotton used in this range features a warp facing construction which is almost entirely made up of vertical threads. This gives the face of the fabric a silky-smooth feel that oozes luxury and comfort, as well as creating a strong and durable sheet. Soft & Silky is the perfect option for anyone who enjoys an opulently tactile feel against their skin and a naturally breathable surface for sleep. Soft and supple, wash after wash Easily cared for, this highly durable range can be washed up to 40°C and will remain soft and supple wash after wash, helping you make a sound investment for the future of your quality of sleep. Our Stylist Says

I love this bedding set because of its elegant simplicity and high-quality feel, thanks to the Egyptian cotton and high thread count. It works really well in minimal, modern, or classic interiors where a touch of luxury is desired without fuss. For styling, I’d suggest pairing it with crisp white or neutral coloured bedsides and soft, textured throws or cushions in natural tones to keep the look fresh and inviting. Practical tips include layering different textures to add depth, and keeping the surrounding decor subdued to let the bedding’s silky sheen take centre stage. It’s a versatile choice that elevates the sleeping space with understated sophistication.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
