Description

The stripes in this bed linen are woven into the design, rather than printed, giving it a finer texture and more tailored look. This 400-thread-count bed linen is made from Egyptian-grown cotton, famed for its high quality. The single set comes with 1x standard pillowcase, all other sizes come with 2x standard pillowcases. Egyptian Cotton The long, fine fibres grown exclusively in the Nile Delta make Egyptian cotton one of the world’s finest, giving this bed linen both its durability and beautiful softness. Thread count This number refers to the number of threads per square inch. Typically, the higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the feel. Bedding sizes To fit duvet/pillow size (cm) Standard pillowcase, L75 x W50cm Single duvet cover, L200 x W135cm Double duvet cover, L200 x W200cm King duvet cover, L220 x W225cm Super king duvet cover, L220 x W260cm Better Cotton By choosing our cotton products, you’re supporting our investment in Better Cotton’s mission to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment. Our Stylist Says

I love this duvet cover set for its luxurious feel and versatile style-it’s perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to both contemporary and classic bedrooms. The satin stripe detail gives it a subtle sheen that can elevate a pared-back, minimalist space or complement more traditional interiors with its elegant texture. I’d recommend pairing it with crisp white or neutral bedding as a base, then adding in Alexander or textured cushions for colour and dimension. It works well in bedrooms aiming for a polished, hotel-inspired look, but also stacks up beautifully with natural materials like wood or linen for a relaxed yet refined vibe. Practical tip: its 400 thread count makes it not only lush but durable, ensuring it stays looking pristine after multiple washes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
