Description
Product Information The British-made Slumber sofa bed combines high-end design with practicality for the best of both worlds. Perfect if you’re looking for comfortable luxury, the sofa features stylish block arms, plinth feet for a contemporary finish, and a generous seat with room for all the family. Suitable for everyday life, the Slumber sofa bed is designed like a traditional sofa with webbing in the back and seat. Comfort ratingStriking a balance between support and comfort, this range has a medium comfort rating. With a structured design to help retain shape, these sofa cushions retain more of their shape when sat on and require less plumping. Moulds to the body, snaps back to shapeThis sofa bed has a foam mattress. The foam acts like springs, moulding to the body for a supported sleep, but returning to the mattress's original shape when not in use. Unfolds from sofa to bedWith fixed cushions and integrated storage space for your pillows, the sofa neatly pulls out into a bed in seconds – no fiddly mechanisms, simply pull the sofa backrest towards you to convert into the bed in seconds. Our Stylist Says
I’m a fan of the Slumber sofa bed for its clean lines, neutral upholstery and sturdy dark legs - it slots straight into modern, Scandi or minimalist schemes without fuss. The easy-fold mechanism means it doubles as a guest bed, making it ideal for smaller living rooms or multifunctional spaces. To style, add a mix of textured cushions (think boucle or velvet) in muted tones, plus a chunky knit throw to introduce warmth. Anchor it on a low-pile rug and flank with a slimline side table and floor lamp for reading light. A couple of sculptural side tables or a leather pouffe nearby will complete the look while keeping the overall feel relaxed and practical.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
