Description

Returns As our usual exchange and refund policy doesn’t apply to products that are made to order or made to measure, our Select Curtain Poles cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged. This doesn't affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, or not as described. To see the colour finishes of the poles, a selling partner or home designer, in store, will have a sample ring available with all finishes. Behind every great pair of curtains is an even better curtain pole. It’s important not to neglect this part of your window dressing as, without even realising it, the pole provides support both in the obvious structural sense, but also in terms of complementing your decor. Designed and made here in the UK our premium Select Curtain Poles are a fantastic option. Here’s why: They’re made from high-quality steel that will support all curtain weights, from breezy voile panels to heavy, opulent velvets Sizes range from 1m to 4m, going up in 10cm increments, so there’s a size to fit every window without having to get the hacksaw out. If the size of the curtain pole selected is 210cm and above, the pole will be delivered in 2 parts. All Select pole sizing excludes finials Even the ‘little bits’ are as robust as possible - the brackets have a vertical back plate that gives maximum support and grub screws secure the pole and finials in place Magnetic cover plates are included to hide the fixings so there are no unsightly screws left on show They can be mounted on wood, metal, masonry and plasterboard so you can match the poles throughout your home even if the wall types differ. Just be aware that you may need to purchase specialist fixings This particular version is our 25mm, wall-fix curtain pole that comes with disc finials - suitable for eyelet curtains only. Includes: 1 x Curtain pole 2 x Side brackets on all sizes 1 x Centre bracket if over 2m 2 x Finials Fitting instructions Fixings (suitable for some wall types) Fixing guide for advice on specialist fixings required depending on your wall type Curtain holdbacks are also available as part of our Select range. They come in the same finishes as the pole so you can make sure they match.

Our Stylist Says

I love this John Lewis curtain pole for its classic yet versatile look. The hammered disc finial adds a subtle texture that elevates its aesthetic without overwhelming a space. Its brass tone lends a warm, timeless feel, making it suitable for both traditional and modern interiors. It’s particularly effective in rooms with neutral or earthy colour schemes, but can also serve as a sophisticated contrast in more contemporary settings. When styling, consider using curtains that complement the brass finish - linen or textured fabrics work well. Practical tips include opting for a longer length to create a sense of height and allowing the curtains to puddle slightly on the floor for a relaxed look or be mounted closer to the ceiling for a more streamlined appearance. This pole is a reliable choice that combines durability with understated elegance.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
