Description

Our Rouen storage bed frame has a classic design that's enhanced with button detailing across the headboard. There's a soft-close drawer on either side of the frame that's brilliant for storing spare linens. Sprung slats provide additional support for you and your mattress. Assembly service Our assembly service is included in the selling price for our Made to Order beds. At the same time as delivery, we'll build your new bed and place it in your room of choice. We'll take away all of the packaging too, for recycling. Built with Smart SlatsThis bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect has a laid-back and fine-textured look that looks like cotton, but it's made from durable polyester fibres Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is made with a brushed herringbone weave that has a cosy wool look and soft 'peach skin' feel. It's really hard-wearing and a brilliant all-rounder Our Band B fabric, Soft Touch Chenille is made from a blend of fibres that give it a super-soft feel and added durability Our Band B fabric, Deep Velvet will bring warmth and luxury to your bedroom. It's a short pile velvet with a soft, plush feel Our Band B fabric, Mole is a soft and cosy woven wool-blend. Piling and bobbling may occur naturally over time Our Band B fabric, Relaxed Linen gives you the fine texture of cotton, the durability of synthetic fibres and the laid-back look of linen Our Band C fabric, Aquaclean Velvet will liven up your bedroom. It's plush, available in a range of bold colours and treated with Aquaclean so that it can be wiped clean with just water. A smart choice for families and those with pets Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture before ordering. Pop into one of our shops to see the full range of colours and fabrics on offer. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bed for its combination of classic elegance and practical storage. The rich, upholstered finish and tufted headboard make it a versatile piece that works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors. It’s ideal for bedrooms aiming for a chic, boutique hotel vibe, but can also add a touch of luxe to more minimalist spaces. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral bedding to highlight its colour, or mixing in textured cushions for added depth. The built-in drawers provide smart, hidden storage, making it perfect for bedrooms where space is at a premium, and it allows you to keep the room looking tidy and uncluttered. Overall, this is a stylish, functional choice that’ll elevate any king-size bedroom setup.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
