Description

Our Ribbon range of garden furniture takes its name from the ribbon-like curves of its seating backrests and arms. Curled and ball feet details are inspired by traditional blacksmithing. The wrapping of the backrest and tabletop slats to the supporting frames further exemplifies the craftsmanship and quality. The furniture is made of robust steel which is powder-coated to make it durable and weather-resistant. A hand-brushed paint finish is applied to create the look of classic, antique zinc-plated garden furniture. Adjustable plastic feet ensure stability and protect both the furniture and your outdoor surfaces. Key features: 2-seater garden bench in a ribbon-like design Robust powder-coated steel frame with a hand-brushed paint finish Feet caps protect flooring and furniture legs and are adjustable in height for uneven surfaces Comfortable shower-resistant seat cushion Part of our Ribbon range of outdoor furniture Garden furniture care: To keep your outdoor furniture in the best condition, store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated spot indoors over the winter. If it's staying outside, use an outdoor furniture cover whenever the weather is wet or unseasonal. Make sure furniture is clean and dry before storing it away, and keep cushions in a clean and dry place when not in use.

Our Stylist Says

I love this garden bench for its sleek, contemporary metal design and versatile grey finish, which makes it a great addition to both modern and traditional outdoor spaces. Its simple lines and sturdy construction work well in minimalist patios or cottage gardens, adding comfort without compromising style. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral or pastel cushions for added comfort and a touch of colour, or use it as a statement piece by placing it amongst lush greenery or colourful flower beds. Practical tips include complementing it with matching metal accessories or nearby planters to create a cohesive outdoor look, while its durable design ensures it’s a practical choice for everyday outdoor use.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
