Description
Reigate tables are produced in Europe, fusing the beauty and nature of wood and metal in a contemporary style. Reigate table tops are made of solid European oak with the option of straight or natural wavy edges and finishes available in either natural or black/brown oil. Every table top is unique, just like no two trees are the same. Each table one is made from rustic boards and fused together. The boards may feature knots, splits and cracks that are carefully filled with a black filler. Medullary rays are common on oak boards and should not be mistaken for flaws. The legs are made from 10mm thick metal sheet and tapers nicely into the corners of the table. Want to see it first? I’m a fan of the Reigate table for its solid oak slab top with a subtle natural edge and clean, black steel legs - it sits neatly between industrial and Scandi-minimal. It works equally well in a loft-style kitchen or a more pared-back dining room, especially when paired with simple leather or metal chairs. Styling tip: keep centrepieces low-profile - think a narrow linen runner and a row of iron candlesticks or a few stoneware bowls - so you don’t obscure the wood grain. Add contrast with lighter upholstery or a woven rug underneath to lift the darker oak finish.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
