I’m a big fan of the Poppy light for its balance of sculptural form and everyday practicality. Those hammered-glass discs bounce a warm, even glow around a room, while the brass spokes give a subtle mid-century vibe. It never feels fussy, so it’s easy to live with. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired spaces, but can also dress up a neutral hallway or sit pretty above a round dining table. My tip is to fit it on a dimmer so you can dial the ambience up or down, and keep surrounding décor simple - a couple of brass-framed prints or soft linen cushions ties everything together without competing for attention.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
