Description

This zip link model can be used as one large divan base or as two smaller divan bases. Great if you're short on storage space. This divan base features two drawers, one on either side of the frame, so there's extra room for your clothes or spare bed linens. A sturdy and supportive divan base, made from high-quality pine wood and designed with layers of posturfil pocket springs that provide a responsive and cushioned base for your mattress. Team it with a pocket spring mattress for enhanced support as the springs pivot in response to your movements for a deeper level of comfort while you sleep. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect has a laid-back and fine-textured look that looks like cotton, but it's made from durable polyester fibres Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is made with a brushed herringbone weave that has a cosy wool look and soft 'peach skin' feel. It's really hard-wearing and a brilliant all-rounder Our Band B fabric, Soft Touch Chenille is made from a blend of fibres that give it a super-soft feel and added durability Our Band B fabric, Deep Velvet will bring warmth and luxury to your bedroom. It's a short pile velvet with a soft, plush feel Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this divan base for its practicality and sleek design, making it an excellent choice for contemporary interiors. Its zip link feature and two drawers offer versatility, perfect for maximising storage in smaller bedrooms or creating a clutter-free look. The Emperor size makes it ideal for spacious master bedrooms, and its neutral fabric ensures it blends seamlessly with various colour schemes. For styling, it's best paired with simple, elegant bedding and coordinated headboards or cushions to create a polished yet functional space. Its understated aesthetic works well in minimalist, modern, or even more eclectic interiors, allowing you to personalise it with textiles and accessories to suit your overall scheme.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
