Description

Our Platform Rattan six-seater corner modular lounging set can be arranged to suit your space, whether it's in the garden or conservatory. A mix of the modern and traditional, it boasts a weather-resistant polyrattan weave and wood-effect details on robust yet lightweight aluminium frames for a premium look. This rust-proof and weather-resistant set includes a square coffee table with a wood-effect top, echoed on the side table and pull-out side table on one sofa end. Shower-resistant seat and backrest cushions on the two sofas provide comfortable support on the seating. Add the included square cushion to the coffee table and it doubles as a footstool. Key features: Corner lounging set comprising two 3-seater garden sofas Square coffee table with wood-effect top, doubling as a footstool Side table with wood-effect top and wood-effect pull-out table Robust yet lightweight aluminium frames Soft shower-resistant seat and backrest cushions Garden furniture care: To keep your outdoor furniture in the best condition, store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated spot indoors over the winter. If it’s staying outside, use an outdoor furniture cover whenever the weather is wet or unseasonal. Make sure furniture is clean and dry before storing it away, and keep cushions in a clean and dry place when not in use.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this rattan platform sofa because its natural weave and pale cushions give a laid-back yet polished look that sits well in both contemporary and more relaxed, boho-inspired gardens. It’ll slot seamlessly into spaces with both muted tones and splashes of colour, from Scandi-minimal patios to cottage-style terraces. For styling, break up the expanse of seating with weather-proof scatter cushions in varying textures - think woven neutrals with a pop of terracotta or moss green. Use the ottoman as a low coffee table topped with a tray and your favourite potted succulents, and position a couple of lanterns or a small side table at one end to create cosy nooks for drinks or books. Adjust the modular pieces to suit your garden layout, whether you need an L-shape against a wall or separate stools for extra flexibility.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
