Product Information Oliver II has a classic silhouette when it comes to contemporary styling with a straight-edged frame and to-the-ground seat. Comfort ratingStriking a balance between support and comfort, this range has a medium comfort rating. With a structured design to help retain shape, these sofa cushions retain more of their shape when sat on and require less plumping. Worth knowing… As leather is a natural product, there are natural characteristics on each leather hide used to make our sofas. These could be things like brand marks, insect bites or wrinkles. A large sofa could be made with as many as four hides so there may also be some slight colour variation, however, we have strict guidelines to make sure any noticeable marks aren't in a prominent place. These distinctive qualities also mean that no two pieces of leather furniture will be exactly the same. Owing to variations in computer screen resolution and settings, the fabric you receive may look slightly different to how it appears here. Prior to purchasing, we strongly recommend that you are order a free sample online. It's the little thingsWe care about our furniture; how it's designed, the materials used and the people who make it. That's why every detail is carefully considered, with more than 20 quality checks, to ensure you're as proud of it as we are. Try before you buyWe're confident in our furniture's quality, but it's always a good idea to check that it's a good personal fit for you. Our Stylist Says
The John Lewis Oliver II large 3 seater is a versatile leather sofa that works well in both contemporary and classic interiors. Its straightforward design and dark leather finish make it an excellent investment piece for creating a sophisticated and timeless look. I love pairing this sofa with neutral or warm-toned accessories to soften the leather and add cosy elements, like textured throws and cushions. For practical styling, consider adding contrast with metallic or wooden side tables to enhance its sleek aesthetic, and keep it balanced with a mix of modern and traditional decor items to create an inviting yet polished space. The dark legs also give it stability and a subtle lift, making it suitable for both open-plan living rooms and more intimate settings.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
