We've made this sturdy divan base from responsibly-sourced pine wood. Non-sprung, it's designed with a platform top which provides a firmer feel for sleepers who prefer more support. Practical and stylish, this divan base offers the ultimate storage solution helping you maximise your bedroom space. Divan base with recycled cotton panel The central/inner panel found on top of the divan base is made from recycled cotton fabric sourced from the Better Cotton initiative mass balance programme. This unbleached panel may help reduce any mattress movement on the divan. The breathable, natural fibre panel is fire resistant without the use of traditional FR chemicals. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect has a laid-back and fine-textured look that looks like cotton, but it's made from durable polyester fibres Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is made with a brushed herringbone weave that has a cosy wool look and soft 'peach skin' feel. It's really hard-wearing and a brilliant all-rounder Our Band B fabric, Deep Velvet will bring warmth and luxury to your bedroom. A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
