Description

Made with 100% European supreme goose down which is wonderfully light, soft and warm. The large and lofty clusters of pure down offer exceptional insulation. The Nomite™ mark means this duvet is suitable for people with dust mite allergies. Our versatile all-seasons duvets feature two duvets with different togs, which can be joined together or taken apart to provide the perfect level of warmth throughout the year. Warmth without weight Down has a naturally airy and open structure that traps heat, so it gives excellent insulation while being much lighter than feathers. This means you feel perfectly warm, without being weighed down. 3D Pocket Construction This duvet is sewn to create evenly divided square boxes. This means the down, feather or mixed filling is evenly distributed, so you enjoy warmth without cold spots. Products labelled with the DOWNPASS logo guarantee high quality and the certainty that down and feathers used as filling material are ethically sourced and come from tightly controlled and traceable supply chains. In addition, the quality of all products is monitored by independent testing institutes. Responsibly sourced The feather and down used is certified to ensure high animal welfare and full traceability from farm to product. All of our natural bedding suppliers provide us with assurance that their feather and down is sourced only as a by-product. In addition, they're monitored to ensure they practice the highest standards of animal welfare. Made by Partners in the UK Our high quality duvets and pillows are made by Skilled Partners in our Lancashire textile factory. Much of our John Lewis bedding, along with our made to order and bespoke products are made there too, and have been since 1953. Herbert Parkinson also offers a range of bespoke services, so if you can’t see exactly what you’re looking for or have specific requirements, do visit one of our shops and a Partner will be able to advise. You can find more about our factory in Lancashire here Nomite™ This allows people with dust mite allergies to enjoy natural bedding. Following a hygienic washing and high-temperature drying process, fillings are then sealed in a tightly woven fabric cover which acts as a barrier against dust mites. Better Cotton By choosing our cotton products, you’re supporting our investment in Better Cotton’s mission to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment. Better Cotton Farmers are farmers who care for the environment and respect workers’ rights and wellbeing. This product is sourced via a system of mass balance and therefore may not contain Better Cotton. bettercotton.org/massbalance Have you thought about a new pillow? Shop here. Good to know As this is a natural product, it may have a slight odour. We recommend the duvet is aired for 48 hours.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
