Description

This textured, linen mix blackout blind eliminates light and gives 100% privacy, allowing you to get a sound night’s sleep. Key features: Effortless lifting thanks to our remote controlled motorisation system Easy fit universal brackets Eliminates the need for pull cords, chains and tapes Blackout for complete privacy Warm in winter, cool in summer As the blackout lining on this blind blocks out sunlight it helps keep your room cool as well as dark. This 3 layer blackout coating also adds an extra layer of insulation, giving the blind thermal properties which aren’t found on non-blackout blinds. It protects against both heat loss and heat gain, regulating the temperature of your room so you’re kept warm in winter and cool in summer. Just be aware, we wouldn't recommend installing this blind in your kitchen or bathroom. The mix of cotton and linen fibres don't withstand humidity well so it may start to curl. It's best for bedrooms, lounges, studies, or any other room that doesn't get steamy. Worth knowing... The width stated in our product specifications is the total width of the blind including mechanisms and brackets. The width of the fabric alone will be a few centimetres less than this. Safety warning Young children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes and inner cords that operate the product. To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children - cords may become wrapped around a child's neck Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords Do not tie cords together. Make sure cords do not twist and create a loop More information on child safety can be found on our Child Safety Hub

Our Stylist Says

I love this roller blind for its versatility and sleek look. The motorised feature makes it ideal for high or hard-to-reach windows, adding convenience to everyday living. Its linen mix fabric offers a subtle texture, making it suitable for modern, minimalist, or even cosy traditional interiors. The blackout and thermal properties make it practical for bedrooms and living rooms where light control and insulation are priorities. A great styling tip is to pair it with neutral or soft tones to keep the space calm, or add colour with cushions and artwork to create a more vibrant look. Its clean lines and functional design make it a smart finishing touch for tidy, contemporary schemes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
