The exterior is complemented with an attractive cornice detail at the top and hinged doors with handles in a vintage pewter finish. This wardrobe's interior compartments have two shelves and a hanging rail in each, all of which are fully adjustable to suit your requirements. I’m a fan of the Marlow wardrobe in graphite because its matte finish and simple panel detailing anchor any scheme without shouting for attention. The full-height hinged doors give clear access to deep hanging rails and adjustable shelving, so it’s as flexible as it is stylish. It suits modern and Scandi interiors alike, and even a restrained industrial look when paired with metal-frame mirrors or exposed-bulb lighting. To style it, keep the surrounding palette light and add texture via a sheepskin rug or woven baskets on top, then slot in slim LED strips internally for a hotel-chic feel whenever you open the doors.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
