Description
A substantial oak dining table made from two wide planks glued together using epoxy filler adhesive. All knots and cracks are also filled using transparent epoxy. The table top features natural plank edges - each piece is unique and each edge is very different from each other. The table top boards are also a sturdy 4cm thick. I’m a fan of the Lake dining table in its natural finish for its clean lines and solid oak feel. Its simple trestle base gives you plenty of legroom and a sense of lightness, making it ideal for both everyday family meals and weekend dinner parties. This piece works well in Scandi-inspired, modern-rustic or minimal interiors. Keep styling pared back: a set of woven placemats, a low ceramic vase of seasonal foliage and a pair of slim candlesticks keep the look fresh. If you need extra contrast, choose dining chairs in muted greys or deep charcoal.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
