Description

The Henley six-seater garden table is both attractive and functional and can be extended to seat up to 10 people. Insert the two extension leaves into the middle to extend the table and store them underneath the table top when not in use. We've included protective footcaps on the table legs for indoor as well as outdoor use. Elegant and sturdy, the John Lewis & Partners Henley by KETTLER range is made from wrought iron and steel, with a hard-wearing and enhanced Thermoguard+ coating to prevent rusting. The wrought iron frames are coated at 350-degrees Celsius in a mixture of polyester and aluminium to create a tough iron-grey finish that's seven times thicker than paint. Specially developed for outdoor conditions, the coating offers excellent weather protection. This range of garden furniture can withstand the elements and can stay outdoors all year round. It's low maintenance and only requires an occasional wash with mild soapy water. For durability and strength, the range's thick gauge steel mesh surfaces are welded directly to the frames rather than spot-welded. All nuts and bolts are stainless steel for weather-resistant longevity. The range comes with a five-year anti-rust guarantee. Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Henley garden table because its slim, iron-grey frame and slatted top keep the look light, even when you extend it to eight places. It suits both a contemporary city terrace and a pared-back country patio - just pair with minimalist metal or woven rattan chairs to echo the clean lines. For practical styling, tuck the extra leaves beneath the ends when you’re down to a small gathering, then pull them out as needed. Keep centre décor simple: a narrow runner, a row of low succulents or herbs in ceramic pots, and a couple of lanterns for evening mood lighting.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
