Description

Our Foxmoor sideboard is a covetable piece with plenty of storage space in its cupboards and soft-close drawers. The left-hand cupboard features double doors so it's ideal for larger items like serving plates, bowls and charger plates. We've also added cable holes at the back so, if you choose, you can also use this piece as a media unit. Maximum loads: 50kg for the top, 10kg for the shelf. Foxmoor offers modern country style for a fresh and calming space you'll love to come home to. Details include hand-glazed oak veneer framed tops, elegantly turned legs and Shaker-style doors and drawers with beaded detailing. The hardwearing paint finish is beautifully complemented by aged brass effect handles and barrel hinges and coordinates well with other soft tones, as well as natural materials such as wicker and linen. All the wood used in our Foxmoor furniture range is FSC certified. By choosing this product you are supporting responsible management of the world's forests. The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a global, not-for-profit organisation that helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife that call them home. To learn more, visit fsc.org. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I often recommend the Foxmoor sideboard for its clever blend of solid oak and soft cream paint - it brings warmth without looking heavy. Its FSC-certified timber and simple lines suit modern farmhouse, Scandi or coastal schemes equally well, anchoring a dining area or hallway with useful storage. To style it, keep the top uncluttered: a trio of ceramic vases or a low planter, plus one or two framed prints leaning against the wall, will set a neat focal point. Inside, use woven baskets or labelled boxes to corral linens or tableware, and pick up the cream tone elsewhere in cushions or a rug to tie the look together.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
