Description

Our Foxmoor large console table makes a useful addition to a living room or hallway and comes with two drawers and a bottom shelf for storage. Foxmoor offers modern country style for a fresh and calming space you'll love to come home to. Details include hand-glazed oak veneer framed tops, elegantly turned legs and Shaker-style doors and drawers with beaded detailing. The hardwearing paint finish is beautifully complemented by aged brass effect handles and barrel hinges and coordinates well with other soft tones, as well as natural materials such as wicker and linen. All the wood used in our Foxmoor furniture range is FSC certified. By choosing this product you are supporting responsible management of the world's forests. The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is a global, not-for-profit organisation that helps take care of forests and the people and wildlife that call them home. To learn more, visit fsc.org. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’d opt for the Foxmoor console table whenever I need a piece that feels both relaxed and refined. The oak top brings warmth and texture, while the painted base and turned legs give just enough character to suit country-style, Scandi or coastal schemes. Its two drawers are ideal for stashing keys and mail, and the lower shelf works brilliantly with woven baskets to keep clutter at bay. To style it, I’d hang a simple mirror or slim gallery of prints above, then layer in a low lamp, a stack of books and a ceramic vase with fresh foliage on one side. On the shelf below, matching baskets or stylish storage boxes help maintain a neat look. Finish with a small tray for everyday bits and you’ve got a practical, welcoming hall or living-room display.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
