We’ve made the headboard a defining design element of the Fluted bed frame, adding extra padding to give the bed an elegant, curved side profile and giving even more depth to the flutes. Finished with a tapered dark stain leg to ensure the bed looks just as good in both traditional and contemporary rooms. Made from high-quality timbers. Its sprung slats provide a more supportive foundation for your mattress. Assembly service Our assembly service is included in the selling price for our Made to Order beds. At the same time as delivery, we'll build your new bed and place it in your room of choice. We'll take away all of the packaging too, for recycling. Built with Smart SlatsThis bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect has a laid-back and fine-textured look that looks like cotton, but it's made from durable polyester fibres Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is made with a brushed herringbone weave that has a cosy wool look and soft 'peach skin' feel. I’m a fan of this fluted bed for its clean-lined, channel-stitched headboard that brings texture without bulk. The soft upholstery and neat proportions suit Scandi-inspired, mid-century modern or pared-back contemporary schemes, and the muted fabric plays nicely with both neutral palettes and richer accent colours. For styling, layer crisp white linen with a mid-tone throw and a couple of statement cushions to pick up any accent hues in the room. Pair it with simple wooden or metal bedside tables and a sculptural lamp for balance, then add a leafy plant or two to soften the overall look.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
