We've paid attention to the finer details to make this dining chair incredibly comfortable and robust. It's made from high-quality beech wood and MDF and upholstered in soft, Aquaclean-treated velvet. The seat is wide and deep and has a plush foam-filling, making it larger than conventional dining chairs and suitable for hours of continual use. Plus, the rolled edge on the high backrest and the tapered legs in a natural wood finish honours classic design principles. Brilliantly paired with a wooden dining table. Treated to prevent stains An Aquaclean treatment has been applied to this fabric which means you can banish the majority of household stains just with water. The treatment covers every fibre with an invisible coating that doesn't need to be re-treated or re-coated, making it a good choice for busy households where you might be worried about potential stains. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
