Description

Colourful flowers by artist Emma Burnett. Made in the UK, the print is presented in a window mount, glazed and in a contemporary white frame, ready to hang on your wall. Emma Burnett is a contemporary British artist. Her work is held in collections worldwide. She trained in Brighton, England and has been a professional painter since 2008. To achieve the depth of colour and interest in her paintings she works with layer upon layer so that elements of colour glimpse through from below. Inspired by great painters such as Bonnard, Cavailles, Hitchens and Dufy, she is known for her use of colour. Her colour mixing and application of colour are designed to create depth, joy and elements of surprise. Her paintings are created to lift spirits and the places in which they hang. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?

Our Stylist Says

I really like this print because of its vibrant colour palette and cheerful floral design, which can inject a lively touch into a variety of interiors. Its sizeable 61.5cm square makes it a bold statement piece, ideal for situating above a sofa or a console table. It works well in both contemporary spaces with minimalist decor, adding a splash of colour, and in more eclectic or shabby-chic interiors where it complements other floral or vintage-inspired accessories. For practical styling, consider pairing it with neutral wall colours to make the print pop, and surround it with simple frames or other artwork in complementary colours for a cohesive look. Using it as a focal point in a living room or hallway can elevate the overall aesthetic without overwhelming the space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
