Description

The Emily bed frame is a simple and versatile option for modern settings. With a clean-lined shape and large headboard, it can be upholstered in a fabric of your choice. It's supported by minimalist wooden legs and has supportive, sprung slats in the base. Built with Smart Slats This bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Cotton Effect has a laid-back and fine-textured look that looks like cotton, but it's made from durable polyester fibres Our Band A fabric, Brushed Tweed is made with a brushed herringbone weave that has a cosy wool look and soft 'peach skin' feel. It's really hard-wearing and a brilliant all-rounder Our Band B fabric, Soft Touch Chenille is made from a blend of fibres that give it a super-soft feel and added durability Our Band B fabric, Deep Velvet will bring warmth and luxury to your bedroom. It's a short pile velvet with a soft, plush feel Our Band B fabric, Mole is a soft and cosy woven wool-blend. Piling and bobbling may occur naturally over time Our Band B fabric, Relaxed Linen gives you the fine texture of cotton, the durability of synthetic fibres and the laid-back look of linen Our Band C fabric, Aquaclean Velvet will liven up your bedroom. It's plush, available in a range of bold colours and treated with Aquaclean so that it can be wiped clean with just water. A smart choice for families and those with pets Worth Knowing: Child Compliant bed frames This bed conforms to BS 8509:2008+A1:2011 (Childrens beds for domestic use. Safety requirements and test methods). We recommend it is used with a standard single mattress, L190 x W90cm. Not suitable for children under the age of 4 years. Want to see it first? Our Stylist Says

I love this bed frame for its clean, contemporary silhouette and the soft, inviting upholstery that adds a touch of luxury to any room. It's versatile enough to work well in both modern, minimalist interiors and more eclectic spaces that embrace colour and texture. The single size makes it ideal for smaller bedrooms, and the upholstered headboard provides comfort for sitting up to read or relax. Styling tips include pairing it with crisp bedding in neutral tones, layering with textured cushions, or contrasting it with bold bed throws to add personality. Its simple design also makes it a great foundation for adding statement furniture or artwork around the bed without overwhelming the space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
