Its contemporary appearance brings any bedroom up to date, while soft-close sliding doors ensure versatile and discreet use even in the smallest of bedrooms. The interior is divided into equally sized compartments. All compartments contain two matching shelves and a hanging rail, all fully adjustable for convenience. I’m a fan of this oak-sliding wardrobe with its central mirror because it brings light into smaller bedrooms and makes getting dressed easier. The bianco oak finish works well in Scandi, contemporary or soft-industrial schemes, pairing neatly with pale linens and black-metal bedside tables. Styling tip: install a slim LED strip along the top inside to highlight your clothes, and keep the mirror clear by hanging a wall-mounted ribbon for jewellery rather than cluttering the glass. Neutral baskets or fabric boxes on the shelf above will tie the look together while keeping things tidy.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
