Description

Our Dreamer mattress is a Special Buy exclusive, handmade in the UK with traceable British wool and recycled polyester. It’s glue-free, foam-free and fire-retardant chemical treatment-free, and it offers unparalleled support thanks to its pocket spring system and combination of fillings. This mattress offers a medium-to-firm feel. 750 advanced Cortec™ pocket springs provide precise and balanced support. Each spring moves independently, ensuring undisturbed sleep regardless of movements throughout the night The top layer is made from wool, which is naturally moisture-absorbing and breathable, and will help to keep your sleep environment fresh. It also adds a plush softness to the top of the mattress Recycled polyester fillings add an extra layer of cushioning for enhanced comfort The Cortec™ springs are sealed with heat, rather than glue. This means they work individually for maximum efficiency plus, each spring can be disassembled and reinvented in the future, making this mattress 100% recyclable at the end of its life Make the most of your new mattress Leave your new mattress to air in a well-ventilated room for a few hours to diffuse any scents from its fillings Use a breathable mattress protector and air your mattress regularly This mattress complements a sprung bed base, but if you have a slatted base, ensure the gaps are no more than 7.5cm apart Follow the care instructions supplied. Rotate regularly We recommend using a good quality mattress protector under your bed linen to protect your new mattress from spills and stains. Plus, to meet the conditions of our 60 Night Comfort Trial, you'll need to purchase a mattress protector in the same transaction as your mattress, and ensure it is used. Browse our range here. As this mattress is 100% recyclable, we’ll recycle it responsibly when you’re ready to buy your next one, after seven years. and we’ll help you to choose a new mattress, and recycle this one so it won't end up in landfill. About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
