Description

The process of 'pre-relaxing' this duvet cover isn't as relaxing as it sounds: it involves using carefully controlled, high-pressure water jets on the CONSCIOUSLY CRAFTED organic cotton fabric. That might sound a bit dramatic, but this process helps to 'relax' and set the fabric so that no distinct creasing creasing occurs after washing. This makes it easy to care for with minimal ironing needed. No need to lose sleep over the laundry, after all. As for getting a good night's sleep, the lightweight duvet cover is made of 100% organic cotton giving you all the breathable benefits of a material renowned for its temperature-regulating qualities. The organic cotton used in this bedding is made to the Global Organic Textile Standard — GOTS for short — meaning it's been responsibly produced to strict environmental and social standards. There are no chemical finishes applied to the fabric either. Good to know: Duvet covers and pillowcases are available to purchase separately, and not in sets. Have you thought about sheeting? Our Stylist Says

I love this bedding because it’s both practical and stylish, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of bedroom decors. The 200 thread count organic cotton is a versatile, breathable fabric that works particularly well in minimalist, Scandi-inspired, or contemporary interiors where a subtle, neutral palette is key. It’s also great for adding a touch of warmth and softness without overwhelming the space. For styling tips, I recommend layering it with textured cushions or throws in complementary tones to add visual interest. It’s a reliable, easy-care option that combines natural fabric benefits with understated elegance, perfect for anyone wanting an effortlessly chic bedroom look.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
