Description

Get your nursery sorted with this cotbed and dresser bundle from our Avery range. The sleek contemporary style of the range combines painted and natural wood for a look that works with most nursery themes. Thoughtfully designed, the Avery cotbed is the perfect sleep space for your little one from birth until well into their toddler years. With 3 base heights you can adjust the cot as they grown and even convert it to a toddler bed when they're ready. Suitable from birth, this cotbed requires a standard 140 x 70cm mattress with a maximum thickness of 12cm (sold separately). The cotbed complies with safety standards EEN 716-1:2017+AC:2019 & EN 8509:2008+A1:2011. The contemporary, understated dresser features a handy nappy changing area to the top and three drawers for easy storage. This item complies to EN 12221-1:2018+A1:2013 safety regulations. We've made the spacious double wardrobe from high-quality solid pine, MDF and veneers. There's a metal hanging rail inside and a dividing storage shelf in the middle. Good to know: The changing unit is suitable from birth until 12 months or 11 kg. Please note: a changing mat is not provided. This changing unit is suitable for a changing mat measuring up to 735 x 480 x 50mm. Please place changing mat within the barriers located at the top of the changing unit. WARNING: Do NOT leave your baby unattended on the changing table for any length of time. This changing unit must be fixed to the wall for safe use of the product. The fastenings used should be appropriate to the wall. Please check assembly instructions for further information.

Our Stylist Says

I love this combo because of its versatile, timeless appeal; the cream and natural finish adds warmth and softness that works well in both modern and classic nursery interiors. The cotbed is practical with its convertible design, and pairing it with the wardrobe and changing top dresser creates a coordinated look without feeling overly formal. It works beautifully in neutral or pastel schemes, but can be easily styled with different textiles and accessories to personalise the space. For practical styling, consider adding soft textiles like textured blankets or wall decals that complement the colours, and keep storage organised in stylish baskets or boxes to maintain a clutter-free environment. This set is both functional and adaptable, making it a great investment for a nursery that can evolve as your child grows.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
