Description

This desk is ideal for injecting colour into smaller rooms. It's a compact size and we've made it from sturdy MDF and bamboo, which is one of the most renewable, durable and readily available raw materials in the world. There are two useful storage drawers and the spindle-shaped legs provide a stable base while adding a softer-design accent. Painted in a bold colour so you can turn your home office into a creative space. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. With great prices and great design, our new brand offers style and quality for modern living today. Whatever you need, there’s joy to be found in ANYDAY.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this Spindle desk for its clean lines and compact footprint - perfect if you need a workspace without overwhelming a room. The two shallow drawers keep stationery tucked away, while the slanted legs give it a slightly mid-century feel that suits Scandi, coastal or modern minimalist interiors. To style, pop a slim desk lamp at one end and balance it with a small plant or pencil pot on the other. Keep flat surfaces clear by using a shallow tray for frequently used items, and tuck a woven basket underneath for extra paper or magazines.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
