Description

Whether you want to display your literary collection or show off your favourite home accessories, it's quick to assemble this shelving unit, which is especially useful in smaller rooms. It's made from high-quality timbers and we've painted the frame for a statement finish. Each shelf can support a maximum load of 15kg and we like its understated, relaxed look thanks to its ladder-style design. Size of shelves (from top to bottom) Shelf 1: W51 x D23cm Shelf 2: W57 x D28cm Shelf 3: W63 x D33cm shelf 4: W69 x D38cm Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. With great prices and great design, our new brand offers style and quality for modern living today. Whatever you need, there’s joy to be found in ANYDAY.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this ladder-style shelving unit because its slim frame and neutral wood-and-grey finish slot easily into modern Scandi, minimalist or industrial-inspired rooms without overwhelming the space. The stepped tiers let you mix decorative items with practical storage - try styling the lower shelves with woven baskets for concealed bits and bobs, then use the middle levels for books or framed prints, and finish with a trailing plant or sculptural object up top. Keep each shelf lightly edited (think three to five items) and vary heights to maintain balance and interest.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
