Description

This compact desk is brilliant if space is limited as the surface lifts-up to reveal a spacious storage compartment complete with three storage sections. It's made from high-quality MDF and bamboo and we've painted the legs to create an on-trend colour-contrast. Plus, there's a gap at the back of the frame which will help to keep cables in one place - a robust and practical option for your home office. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. With great prices and great design, our new brand offers style and quality for modern living today. Whatever you need, there’s joy to be found in ANYDAY.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Cantera desk for its clean lines and the calming blue top set against natural oak legs. It slips effortlessly into Scandi-inspired or contemporary schemes, yet is equally at home in a pared-back home office or tucked into a bedroom corner. For styling, keep the desktop clear by using its slim drawers and built-in cable port. Add a slim desk lamp at one end and a small tray or pencil pot at the other to maintain balance. A low-profile floating shelf above will echo the desk’s simple proportions and give you space for a couple of favourite books or a small plant without cluttering your work area.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
