Description

Functional furniture with a luxe look. Using shapes and styles that characterised the Art-Deco movement, we've designed this chest of drawers to give your bedroom the statement look it's been missing. Durable, dark acacia wood is combined with metallic metal work, shown on the semi-circle drawer handles and sleek, tapered legs. Each of the three drawer fronts are cut with a tessellated pattern to create a geometric look, and the thick, natural marble surface top lends a cool, neutral contrast. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this marble-top chest - its warm, geometric wood face and slim brass legs give it just enough personality without overwhelming a room. It sits equally well in a Scandi-inspired living space or an eclectic hallway, and the clean lines mean you can layer on anything from a simple vase and lamp to a small gallery of framed prints. For balance, pair it with soft textiles in muted tones and a round mirror above to echo the drawer handles. The generous drawers hide everyday clutter, so it’s both a practical and stylish addition to bedrooms or entrances.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
