Description

Combining Nordic influences with traditional craftsmanship, our Torino range of furniture will bring a signature look to your modern home. Designed from solid oak with sturdy MDF, its appealing contemporary silhouette is characterised by splayed wooden legs and complemented with smooth white surface tops. The large Torino sideboard lends functional design to contemporary appeal. Its sleek profile houses two deep drawers, with two hinged cupboards sitting on either side. An adjustable shelf inside each cupboard allows you to keep your belongings in neat order and your living space clutter free. Complete with signature splayed legs and coordinating handles that smartly camouflage into the design, it's a convenient and elegant storage piece. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. If you do plan on doing this we recommend giving us a call on 03452 661805 as not all our ranges are on display in our shops. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. We like it because Special buy: These products are special because we negotiate exclusive discounts with our suppliers and pass the savings on to you. Our Stylist Says

I love this sideboard because of its clean, minimalist design and natural wood finish - it’s a versatile piece that can complement a range of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary, Scandinavian, or mid-century-inspired spaces, adding warmth and practicality without overwhelming the room. For styling, consider keeping the top surface uncluttered with a few carefully chosen decorative items like a statement lamp, small plants, or a stack of coffee table books. Inside, utilise organisers or baskets to keep clutter out of sight, making it as functional as it is stylish. Its understated look also makes it a great backdrop for colourful or textured accessories, allowing you to easily update your interior aesthetic over time.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
