Description

This is our highest thread count pure Egyptian cotton bed linen, made using only the finest quality fibres, grown and harvested in the Nile Delta. It’s specially woven to create a sumptuously smooth and silky feel. Egyptian Cotton The long, fine fibres grown exclusively in the Nile Delta make Egyptian cotton one of the world’s finest, giving this bed linen both its durability and beautiful softness. 1000 Thread Count By twisting yarns together before weaving, we were able to create this bed linen’s high thread count. Thread count refers to the number of threads per square inch and, typically, the higher the number the softer and smoother the feel. Care instructions We recommend washing this bed linen at 40ºC but it can be washed at 30ºC. Lower temperatures save energy, helping to be kinder to the environment. Have you thought about sheeting? Our Stylist Says

This bedding set is a real staple for anyone prioritising comfort and a classic look. The high thread count and Egyptian cotton make it exceptionally soft and breathable, ideal for creating a luxurious sleeping environment. It works well in contemporary interiors with minimalist tones or traditional bedrooms where a crisp, white bed linen can serve as a neutral backdrop for layered textures and throws. For styling tips, pair it with plush cushions in muted shades for a sophisticated look, or add colourful accessories for a more vibrant yet understated feel. Its clean, simple aesthetic makes it versatile enough to suit a variety of bedroom styles, from sleek urban to cosy country retreats.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
