Description

Taller in size and built with the addition of a footend, our Tall Emily bed frame is perfect for your modern bedroom. With a large headboard and minimalist wooden legs, it has a simple and clean-lined shape, and we've added supportive, sprung slats to the base. Built with Smart Slats This bed frame is designed with wider slats at the shoulders, lumbar and feet. They provide maximum support for you and your mattress so that you experience perfect spinal alignment while you sleep. The standard slat caps are black so we have added grey slat caps to ensure that you know where to place the wider slats. Choose from one of our fabrics: Our Band A fabric, Topaz is woven to create a linen-effect feel Our Band A fabric, Saga is woven with man-made fibres, making it exceptionally durable and versatile Our Band B fabric, Erin has a velvet-style, chenille feel. It's woven with man-made fibres to create a beautifully soft yarn and can appear two-tone in different lights Our Band B fabric, Opulence is a soft and luxurious velvet-like fabric Our Band B fabric, Mole is a soft and cosy woven wool-blend. Piling and bobbling may occur naturally over time Our Band B fabric, Relaxed Linen is durable, resilient and versatile, woven from man-made and natural fibres Our Band C fabric, Aquaclean Harriet is made from a short, dense pile of velvet that has a soft, brushed finish. An Aquaclean treatment has been applied to this resilient fabric which means you can banish the majority of household stains with water. The treatment covers every fibre with an invisible coating so it doesn't need to be retreated or re-coated. It will naturally develop lines, scuffs and shading over time. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture before ordering. Pop into one of our shops to see the full range of colours and fabrics on offer. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love the tall Emily bed for its bold, modern silhouette which makes it an instant statement piece in any bedroom. The upholstered finish adds a touch of softness, making it suitable for both contemporary and minimalist interiors, or even more eclectic schemes when paired with colourful or textured bedding. It works well with low-profile furniture or simple bedside tables to keep the focus on its striking shape. Practical styling tips include layering with crisp white or neutral linens to highlight its colour, or contrasting with richer textiles like velvet or silk for a more luxurious feel. Its height also lends itself to adding cushions behind the headboard for extra comfort and visual interest.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
