Description

Product Information Designed by Swoon, made by us. With a shared commitment to exceptional design and quality, we've collaborated to create an exclusive furniture collection for the modern home. Rubik is a modern sofa configuration, split up into individual units. It has a clean, boxy look thanks to its straight sides and wooden plinth, but soft fibre-wrapped seats and supportive arm bolsters make it the perfect spot for family lounging. The range is completed with this ottoman. Prepare for family feuds over who gets to put their feet up. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this footstool for its versatile and contemporary design - its clean lines and rich fabric make it a great addition to both relaxed and more polished interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms with a cosy, modern vibe or as a statement piece in a neutral scheme. Practical styling tips include using it as an extra seat or a stand-in for a coffee table with a tray on top, and pairing it with a layered mix of textures and colours for added interest. Its compact size makes it ideal for smaller spaces, and the plush upholstery invites you to kick back comfortably when you need a moment to relax.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
